While collaborating with the Homeboy Art Academy, the non profit wanted a proposed new design of their art and learning center. the importance of transparency and collaboration way key to their ethos. By incorporating communal features such as the meeting circle, altar, classroom, and lab areas, the building creates a safe space where people that have experiences trauma and challenges can feel welcome and also be monitored. Having an environment like this can change peoples lives and give support when they dont have it elsewhere while also helping develop local communities that are struggling.
